Here is a pic of Lori in Belmont, NV. There is a spring in the center of the town that flows out of a 2.5″ pipe. It creates a small oasis that was obviously a life-source for the town back in the 19th century when this town was founded. For us, it turned out to be a source of cold, clean, very yummy water. We filled our tanks and water storage containers a couple of times here. As a result, we had more water than ever, yet we were in a pretty arid part of the country. That water richness made for some happy camping as you can see in Lori’s face.
I have had a crochet table cloth made by my mother for over 20 years. It was made for an old rectangular table that I had at the time. The table is long gone, but the table cloth still saw daily use on our round table.
After all these years my old rectangular table cloth had finally started to show some age w/ the occasional hole etc. My mother has stepped into the void and created another masterpiece. This time made for the round table. Isn’t it awesome!
I’m sure this one will last 20+ years of daily use too.
While on vacation we visited our neighbors, Larry and Sue and their wonderful dog Tammy, at their cabin near Cisco Grove. It was great to spend some time hiking with them in the Sierra granite and seeing this part of their world.
Tammy had just romped in a muddy puddle right before this. She got in trouble, so expressed her rebellion by standing apart from mom & dad. Very funny and smart dog!
