Happy New Year to all of you readers! All 3 of you!

Here is a pic from our hike in Buckskin Gulch in Southern Utah. It was one of the best hikes in memory. Just amazing. And pretty easy too. More to come later, but here is the pic:

We had wonderful weather for our entire trip. We left on December 22, and arrived home last night. Not a drop of rain, and temperatures were warm (40s in the day time and >15 at night). Really, everything went right this year — which was a happy contrast to last year’s 100 year rains.
