Yes boys and girls, moms and dads, the Yahsica Lynx 14 from the deep-storage closet now works. I took the lens apart and did some cleaning and such. And now I have a very cool, functional, camera!

This tree is just down the hill from one of my favorite viewpoints. It’s pretty nice all by itself. This was from my run today on Old Mine Trail.
I also, finally, got back to fighting the jungle. The paths are clear again, but the rest of the jungle is in full splendor. Including a beautiful crop of wildflowers this year. Yes wildflowers in our yard. That’s what you get when you have a jungle.
Oh, and here is a wildflower from my run today. Very close to the tree above. Poppy season is just beginning…

A lens comparison of my Leica Summitar 50mm (top), my new-old Super-Takumar 55mm (middle), and my new-old Sunset 35mm. The new-old lenses are some of the Pentax-mount m42 lenses (picked up in Oklahoma while visiting my parents) as tested w/ my new u4/3-M42 adapter. They both look decent. The Super-Takumar is probably the better of the two. The Summitar, the comparison lens, is much smaller than the M42s — it has a much different (older I guess) look too than the M42s. It is an interesting comparison at least. I’m not sure how my preferences will settle out just yet though.
Oh, BTW, I did build those chairs. Two of my favorites.
