Last night we spent the night in Snow Canyon near St. George again. We have a beautiful campsite, though at 9:40 a.m. we are still in the shadows of the cliffs.
We came back to St. George so Lori could go swimming and maybe we would go into town for St. George’s "First Night" New Years celebration (we ended up just staying in camp). Well, the pool Lori was going to go to was there,
but closed and for sale. Hmm. She then tried to drop in at the Red
Mountain Spa. While some employees said that was fine, the final gatekeeper to the pool said no. Hmm.
While all that was going on Cookie and I were running in West Canyon. It was cold, but beautiful. The picture of this tree isn’t very good I did the "digital zoom" technique w/ the s90. Shoot it zoomed as much as possible, and then cropped it in Lightroom too take it the rest of the way. Lori came back from her adventure and went for a run too. Poor Cookie (according to her) had to go twice – she thought one cold run was enough!
Last night we decided we would start heading for the barn. Afton Canyon tonight.
