Today we visited Coral Pink Sand Dunes. Cookie was looking forward to fun in the sand, but she was good w/ snow too!
Over the years we have developed a strong affinity to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes area of Utah. Since it was reasonably dry in the lowlands of Zion, we figured that CPSD would be a fun place to visit and go for a run.
Well, sure it was fun, but not a great place to run. The snow was more than 18″ deep and there was no sand to be found.
We ended up heading back to Zion NP and hiking some canyons and slickrock. I took pictures of that too, but I couldn’t get my M3 to download. Guess I’ll have to develop that film after all.
Tomorrow we are off to the Subway. I hope it arrives on time!
Update: Here are some pics from the M3

Pink Sand Dunes is one of our favorite places. The one time that we were there is so impressed us that we never fail to recommend it to anyone that we know that is planning to visit the Grand Canyon. Glad that you were albe to visit it again.

Yes, it’s a great place to see and explore. When there IS sand, and when there is snow. We have skied here before, and would have this time except… we forgot our boots. Yep, we have the skis, we have the poles, we have the lungs, we forgot the boots.
That would have been a blast!
